Thali is a new brand from middle east producing and distributing FMCG. I was approached to create a brand identity which should be appealing to people from middle east and at the same time it should show its Indian roots (mostly for variety of rices) . Visual language and packaging design for the brand primarily utilises two design elements – its colour and line illustrations – integrated seamlessly into overall design. To be produced and distributed through out the middle east, these elements have to be easily identifiable and are used to highlight and distinguish the different origin of each flavour of food from various parts of India. The logo design is minimal and consists of English and Arabic texts combined together as the requirement from the client. On the other hand colored dots and black lines gives an Indian touch to the Thali logo.
